24 Game

We also play various mathematics-related card games--- for instance the famous "24 Game", which requires players to calculate 24 using 4 numbers and different operation signs, as well as other variants. We always try to look for patterns and strategies to win the game more easily.
The rules of the "24 Game":

1. Randomly draw 4 cards from the 52 cards of poker , with Jack , Queen and King all recognised as 10.
2. Compete to see who can create the value of 24 the quickest among players, using only the four operation signs (plus, minus, multiply and divide) and brackets to arrange the four numbers.

After some investigation during meetings, members of the club came up with some tips of the game:

1. You should first add up the four numbers first; the result could be out of your expectation!
2. You can separate the four numbers into two parts and then try to obtain (1,24)/(2,12)/(3,8)/(4,6) from the two pairs, giving you 24 when the two are multiplied together..This is the most common solution to calculate 24.

Still, there is never a  'must-win strategy' for the game--- try and explore your own winning-strategies, and feel the fun of mathematics!
